Dale F. Porter
Dale F. Porter currently serves as chief financial officer at Philadelphia Works, the city’s workforce development board. He has over 25 years of progressive experience with proven leadership skills in the area of financial management. the city’s workforce development board. In his current position, he is responsible for overseeing a team of approximately thirty professionals for auditing, accounting, contracting, payroll, accounts payable, information technology, and pension and office administration; providing leadership in support of strategic planning and other activities involving the Board of Directors; creating, implementing and managing all budgeting, accounting, contracting, reporting, Information Technology; and administering trustee and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization’s pension plan.
Prior to joining PhilaWorks, Dale led the finance team at the Urban Affairs Coalition in Philadelphia for more than seven years. He is lauded for several accomplishments, including 20+ years of OMB A-133 audits without findings or questioned costs and contributions as an accomplished member of the tactical team responsible for the integration of Department of Human Services and Department of Labor workforce service delivery systems. In addition, he has gained notable experience in auditing and management consulting services for Fortune 500 companies, accomplished the successful management of sizable finance divisions with revenues in excess of $100MM, and effectively planned and provided oversight to the strategic merger involving the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board and the Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation.
