Hillary Shayne
Hillary Shayne is the manager of training and upskilling at Philadelphia Works. Hillary coordinates the organization’s vocational training strategy including ensuring high-quality training investments with clear pipelines to employment for Philadelphia career seekers. She and her team are continuously expanding the organization’s capacity to respond with agility to innovative training and skill-building opportunities with a focus on competency-based, blended learning (in-person + virtual) options. Hillary is also charged with shepherding the implementation of the PHL Career Portal, a resource and training virtual platform for Philadelphia residents.
Prior to joining Philadelphia Works, Hillary held a series of roles with the City of Philadelphia in policy implementation, strategic planning, and training. With the Departments of Behavioral Health (DBHIDS) and Homeless Services, Hillary honed her skills in training for adult learners in virtual and in-person classrooms. Hillary holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania Fels Institute.
